Fiwi Productions, a media, entertainment, and marketing company based in New York City, has officially relaunched its e-commerce platformFiwiproductions.com—18 years after its initial launch.

The newly revamped website will serve as the hub for three culturally significant products:

📖 A Reason for Living – A novel capturing Jamaica’s creative and volatile 1960s, highlighting the rise of ska, rocksteady, and reggae.

🎥 It All Started With the Drums (1987) – A documentary exploring the roots of Caribbean music, featuring legendary artists.

🎥 Jammin' In Jamaica with the Mystic Revelation of Rastafari (1996) – A film delving into Jamaica’s spiritual and musical heritage, centered on Rastafarian drumming traditions.

📌 A Legacy of Culture & Creativity

Founded by Jamaican-born journalist, documentary filmmaker, and novelist Julian “Jingles” Reynolds, Fiwi Productions has deep roots in Jamaican, Caribbean, and African-American culture.

Originating from Fiwi Corporation, which was established in Harlem, New York, in 1973, the company has been instrumental in:

✔ Producing major reggae concerts in the U.S. with icons like Burning Spear, Third World, Toots & The Maytals, and The Skatalites.

✔ Organizing stage plays, including Operation P., featuring Jamaican icon Ranny Williams.

✔ Operating a food distribution arm, contributing to Jamaica’s agriculture and agro-industry sectors.

🌍 Rebuilding the E-Commerce Presence

CEO Julian Reynolds, who boasts five decades of experience in media, marketing, filmmaking, and business, explained that the decision to relaunch was driven by public demand for his works:

"Since becoming unavailable on Amazon over 15 years ago, people kept inquiring about my documentaries. Now that my novel is available on all major online bookseller sites, I figured we had a strong enough product list to re-establish our e-commerce site."

💡 Investing in Culture & Creative Industries

Fiwi Productions isn’t just about selling products—it’s about cultural preservation and economic empowerment. The company follows a business model that emphasizes investment in creative industries to enhance socio-economic conditions in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and African-American communities in the U.S.

The relaunch of Fiwiproductions.com is a major step toward cultural commerce expansion, merging art, film, literature, and history into a platform that serves both creators and consumers.
